  1. It is heartening to know that our brothers in Christ in Greece are such a lasting influence on their country and the Middle East. We who are monastics in the West are learning from ancient desert fathers and monks and are happy to have their shining example. May the Almighty Lord continue to bless these monks and hermits and lead them on their way.
